How we Fund our RVSometimer Life! Chapter 2 Webisode 3 // Kitimat, BC

February 5, 2019

In this post we are sharing a bit more about what we do when we are at our home base. Essentially, we use the better weather months to visit and do necessary projects on our properties in Northern and more remote places in BC.

The thing about having properties in these areas is we get to continue our adventures to these beautiful places while doing work. We really don’t ever get tired of the scenery in BC. The more we travel and see the more we value BC.

Kory has a notorious problem with KEYS! He never knows where they are and is constantly getting us into some sort of predicament because of it. This time we find his keys in the most unlikely of places but actually save the hotel from an expensive maintenance call. Well can you call it ‘saving’ them when you are the one that caused the problem? I don’t know I’m just glad we found the keys.

Work for us comes is a variety of tasks which we figure out how to do in our own way and we show you just one of those tasks. We are careful to be respectful of our tenants and contractors privacy so we don’t film them or our interactions with them. But when it comes to a building, a lease, or any of the behind the scenes office work we take on any of the tasks ourselves and rely on contractors wherever it makes sense. In Kitimat we are very lucky to have a very reliable contractor to work with.

Kitimat is a community on the verge of a huge economic boom. It’s been here before and will handle the boom well. Since this visit to Kitimat we have sold our building and will miss our visits to such a beautiful raw area of BC.

Our Kitimat visit was filmed in May of 2018 but it doesn’t matter what season you go, Kitimat is a destination not to miss.

If you have been to Kitimat or are planning a trip there please leave us a comment or ask us a question. We’d love to share more with you. Onward!

I am a RV lover. All things RV are intriguing to me right down to the little details. I love to travel, especially in the Beaver, and combining our adventures with our reviews really is having my cake and eating it too. We are rvSometimers, meaning that we do things just a little different then most RV vloggers but it just goes to show that anyone can fit into this lifestyle.

    1. Hi to you both. Love your vlogs. I especially like the ones where you go places…especially in BC or Canada. Your always keeping it real. So refreshing.

      1. Hey Ellen,

We love the travel ones to but we just can’t keep our noses out of the RVs haha. I can’t wait to get more postings up here about them. It’s fun to do things in Canada, well it’s fun to do things everywhere but of course Canada is special to us and we love showing the places we’ve known forever and all of the new experiences we get to have and we are super excited to get to bring you along. Glad you like them and no worries about us not ‘keeping it real’, it’s too much work to pretend we are something we are not!
