RV SOMETIMER CHORES (Big Jobs, Small Machine, No Worries) Chapter 2 Webisode 2

January 20, 2019

We love to travel but we also enjoy the lake at our home base. So during the best months of the year, the hot sunny ones, we love to be in the Shuswap.

As RV Sometimers, we still have chores to do to maintain our home base. I know that part doesn’t appeal to some people but Kory really likes doing these projects (especially now that he has the new tractor). Me, not so much, but I do love having our home base where we do. I love our space and the nature that goes with it. So the trade off is helping with the chores.

This post shows some of the chores we have to get done and the unconventional ways we choose to do them. Sometimes people think our ways of getting a project done may take too long or be wrong but for us the right way to do something is the way we can do it ourselves. We get it, you might have done it differently but if your way doesn’t work for us then it’s of no use to us.

We know it can be funny and believe us we laugh a lot while we are doing it but whatever it is we feel very accomplished when we stand back and get to say DONE!

To get our projects done, we use the tools we have available and our minds to work it out, knowing what our bodies can do. Where there is a will there is a way and when it looks like a mountain in front of us we figure out how we will get over, which sometimes means going around but we always get there!

Thanks for coming by, watching and reading. We would love to hear how you come up with unconventional ways of getting your projects done, we may use a few haha. So leave us a comment and let us know.

More about Denise

I am a RV lover. All things RV are intriguing to me right down to the little details. I love to travel, especially in the Beaver, and combining our adventures with our reviews really is having my cake and eating it too. We are rvSometimers, meaning that we do things just a little different then most RV vloggers but it just goes to show that anyone can fit into this lifestyle.

    1. Cleaning your RV can be a pain sometimes but so is cleaning at home at your house. But you always feel better when you clean things up.

      1. That is for sure. It’s a big job to clean and protect the Beav especially going to so many different climates. Sometimes it is sun damage we are worried about other times it is humidity and mold. Cleaning the inside can be a big job too when you do the big stuff like carpets but we love how quick it is to do just the regular cleaning. Small space = less time and effort. And oh yes…. do we feel great when it’s done!
