San Francisco street performers and (why you should listen to your wife) Ch 1 Wb 4

July 9, 2018

This was a fun day for us because we really like San Francisco and the fact that we can get around easily on our bikes.

We have been to the Marin RV Park before and it really works for us because of it’s close proximity to Larkspur and the Golden Gate ferry. It does seem expensive but we have found that this is the going rate near the city and yes it is tight but again we are near the city and this seems to be the way it is and not just in San Francisco. From the Marin RV Park it is only a few min. ride to the ferry terminal in Larkspur, which we can take our bikes on, and it drops us off right at Fisherman’s Wharf where we can ride all over from. In the past we have gone right to the Golden Gate Bridge and up a lot of those crazy hills, aghhh! You can also have access to almost any tour you want from here.

On this stop we did a little shopping at Fisherman’s Wharf, which we had to be creative about, then headed down to the other piers where we encountered these fun and talented street performers who left us with our own personal show on our camera.

We chose to do a self guided tour of the USS Pampanito. These types of tours are tough for me as I want to hear every little detail that is coming through those crummy headsets and my mind is always scrambling to put together what I am seeing with what I am hearing and then add on Kory filming and talking to me and I thought my head would explode. I know I know I need to relax, BUT WHAT IF I MISS SOMETHING!

Thankfully, after our tour we went to eat. We are fascinated by the food that is recommended in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives so we try to go to as many of the featured places as possible. We found Pier 23 and picked 2 dishes that we had seen on TV. Both were good and I learned that Tuna Poke is in fact raw tuna and therefore must be cold, if it were warm as I had expected, it wouldn’t be raw now would it? Well guess what? I liked it so I guess “raw tuna” is ok with me.

The rest of this Webisode speaks for itself!

We filmed this between Feb 24-26, 2018 and you can check out the links directly from here or from the Making Connections page or the Links tab.

More about Denise

I am a RV lover. All things RV are intriguing to me right down to the little details. I love to travel, especially in the Beaver, and combining our adventures with our reviews really is having my cake and eating it too. We are rvSometimers, meaning that we do things just a little different then most RV vloggers but it just goes to show that anyone can fit into this lifestyle.
