Wow, What a great accessory! We find this a much easier way to hold the camera and it easily converts to a sturdy tripod making it super handy! It has a hardwired connection to the AX53 (and other Sony Cameras) and has full function buttons for Zoom, Still Camera, and Video Start/Stop. For general use (other than when mounted to a tri/monopod) we always keep the AX53 connected to this grip, even when being stored in the camera bag. I love the look, feel and functionality of this grip! What a great addition to her Birthday gift!
