Lifestyle choices. We spend some time this week talking about lifestyle choices, being rvSometimers and the types of places we visit. There is so much beauty and wonder to experience out there but then there are those tried and true comfort zone things and places.
For us, we are always drawn back to water and greenery and stopping in Laughlin filled up our thirsty souls. We didn’t even realize how thirsty we were until we got there, but ohhhh it felt so good!
Being a rvSometimer is not something we settle for. It is something we choose. We have a wonderful home and community with great friends that we always look forward to spending time with. Being on the road puts us together with different friends and a different kind of community that we also love. Sometimes we feel like we are being pulled in two equally great directions.
I know, I know the woes of rvSometimers don’t really seem that bad, and they aren’t. We are very happy with our lifestyle choices.
If you are also a rvSometimer or hope to become one, please tell us about it. There is so much to share and we know you are just the people to share it with, send us a comment!
We stayed at the Riverside Casino in Laughlin in April of 2018.

November 11, 2018Hey Denise and Kory! It’s nice to see you pop in my inbox with this post. I’m curious about your connection with the Road2Recovery since you mentioned it right at the end. John made it to Tucson last Thursday (finally) but I flew to Philadelphia to visit my sons. Where are you now?

November 18, 2018Hey Gretty, Good to hear from you. We don’t have any significant connection with road2recovery. We found them at the show and were donating and wanting to learn more about their foundation so I thought we should include it to give them some exposure to our many subscribers, haha. We are currently in Rockport, TX but will start heading back towards San Antonio today. We have a flight booked for Nov 27 to get home and start getting ready for xmas. I hope you are having a nice time with your sons. Where will you guys be over the holidays?

November 18, 2018Hi Denise and Kory,
Happy early Thanksgiving! So, do you store your RV in San Antonio?
We will be backpacking on Thanksgiving day and the next day into the Superstition Mountain range just outside of Phoenix. Christmas we will remain in Tucson, and probably do a day trip to see some friends. We have decided not to fly to Philadelphia over the holidays because in the past we have gotten stuck in airports, and had to deal with bad weather. So…we visit when the weather is better and airports are not as crowded and prices are cheaper!
Hey, Kory. We would like to upgrade the video camera and get a drone. Any advice? I’ll share John’s email (johnemmerich738@gmail.com) so you can directly contact him. I’m not the techy one!
Take care, you two!
Hugs, Gretty, John, and Penny

November 20, 2018Hey y’all, (we have been in Texas too long hehe)
Happy Thanksgiving to you too. We will store the Beaver in San Antonio until Feb. Hopefully it will be safe, my bike was stolen last night. They had to climb under the front slide and cut the lock. Thankfully, Kory’s was left alone. I’m sure the Beaver will be fine as it will be indoors. But jeez it really makes us mad. This seems to be a nice park too but they aren’t to worried about security!
Anyways, I hope you had a nice visit with your sons. Sounds like hiking into the Superstition Mtns will be nice. I hear there is a great view from there.
Did you get your new platform sorted for your blog? Kory is emailing John as I write.
Give Penny a scrub and a treat from us.
Have a great day,
Denise
